Buyer agrees to all terms detailed here. If you cannot agree, please do not purchase and contact us immediately. The below points are numbered for easy reference.
 
1. REC Assets is known for having the some of the lowest prices on eBay for over 15 years running! We strive for 5star positive feedback from everyone we sell to. We ask for all of our customers to leave 5star positive feedback so we can continue to serve you. If you are not 100% satisfied with your order we ask you to contact us beforehand and tell us what we need to do to earn your 5 star positive. If you cannot agree to this please do contact us before purchasing. Thank you all of your support to keep us running for these amazing 15 years.
 
2. To avoid disappointment, we typically upload many high resolution pictures of our items for sale. We require you to closely inspect all pictures and read description carefully before purchase or making an offer. Pictures and description are here to show you what you will receive as well as showing condition. We require buyer to contact us before making an offer or purchase if anything is unclear, even of the slightest. Buyers agree that they will contact seller with any inquiries before putting in any offers. If buyer later decides to cancel order, an unpaid item strike will be placed on buyer's account.
 
3. For all desktop and laptop PCs sold with hard drives: The hard drive was fully wiped without any errors before installing in the PC. Many drives now (even new) are shipped with bad sectors. The hardware itself then reallocates these sectors which is how they are built. There have been many cases that warnings like this come up but the amount of bad sectors don't change. Buyer to accept that hard drives may be shipped with bad sectors but it does not affect the performance of the drive. Seller is not responsible for replacing hard drives that have a bad sector as we are defining this as normal. Also, some motherboard capacitors overtime will bulge but again this is normal and buyer to accept that this is a possibility with machines that we ship. In addition if the hard drive or motherboard fails we will still honour with the appropriate guarantee given in the listing.
 
4. For couriered items payment is required within 48 hours of issuance of offer unless other arrangements are agreed before issuance of offer. If no payment is received, an unpaid item dispute will be opened.
 
5. For collected items, payment and collection is required within 5 days of purchase or issuance of offer. Buyer must send a message within 48 hours of issuance of offer to seller to confirm collection date or an unpaid item dispute will be opened. Unless otherwise stated, items are available for collection from our office in Leyton, East London. Collection times are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm We are closed on Weekends and Bank Holidays. Failure to collect within 5 days will incur a 10% daily storage charge unless other arrangements are previously agreed. These charges are non refundable. We require all customers to call us when they are en-route to collecting an item so we can have it prepared and ready when you arrive for collection. Failure to do this can delay collection as preparing items can be quite intensive and can take up to 2 hours. For any paid items not collected with 3 weeks of issuance of offer or purchase, we the seller have the right to relist the item and keep any amounts paid to cover the non refundable storage charges.
 
6. As we have many of our items listed on other platforms, we ask the buyer to accept the fact there is a delay with our inventory refresh. There is a slight chance the item purchased will be no longer available. In such a case we will refund the buyer and send notification. Buyer also agrees not leave feedback based on this criteria.
 
7. Buyer agrees that it is not sellers fault if the courier is to lose, damage an item, or have a delay in delivery. If in the unlikely event this happens, please contact us immediately so we can resolve or issue a refund or replacement. We the sellers will handle courier compensation. In order to expedite the process of claiming with the courier, buyer gives seller permission to file claim on their behalf. A signature may be required which buyer gives seller permission to provide on behalf of the buyer. This will allow the seller to handle every aspect of the courier claim. Couriers in many cases will leave the parcel with a neighbour if no one is available to receive. Because of this, if available, we encourage the buyer to track the parcel using the tracking number we provide. If you do not receive a tracking number within 2 business days of payment, please contact us right away. Buyer agrees not leave feedback based on these criteria.
 
8. If buyer has a problem with any item purchased, buyer must contact us through eBay messaging service before opening a return request or case in ebay resolution centre. In our 15 years of business, nearly all inquiries can be handled immediately just by messaging us. Opening a return request just delays the process.
 
9. For everything listed except items for parts or not working: We are not experts in everything we sell. When we list an item as working, we are only stating what our supplier has advised this information. Unless otherwise stated, due to our limited knowledge of wide range of products we are unable to fully test all of our stock once it arrives. Buyer must understand that we cannot guarantee items will be 100% functional on arrival. Buyer also agrees not to leave feedback based on this. However, our return process is unrivalled. If you have any issues, contact us immediately before leaving any feedback and we are sure to help! For UK buyers, if a return is required we will pay all return postage costs.
 
10. For items listed as for parts or not working: We have described how it performs at time of listing to the best of our abilities but due to the fact it is listed as faulty seller cannot guarantee any functionality upon receiving the item. Buyer agrees to assume that it is 100% non functional, faulty, and for parts not working.
 
11a. For all software listings: It is buyers responsibility to ensure compatibility, support from manufacturer in activation, etc. Some software may no longer support online activation as it is obsolete so it is buyers responsibility to check BEFORE purchase. In addition, as used software sometimes has activation issues due to previous activations, buyer may have to activate over the phone. We are selling the software as pictured and offer no guarantees other than what is stated.
 
11b. For all hardware listings: Buyers must ensure compatibility before purchase. We are not experts on everything we sell so we require the buyers to research (ie google) to find manufacturer specifications and compatibility list. This is because many items we sell are proprietary and will not work as a standalone unit. For items that require consumables, if the consumable levels are not listed, there will be no guarantees on consumable levels and buyer must assume that they will need replacing.
 
12. For all appliances and food handling/preparation products: In order to keep our prices low, these products will need a cleaning before use. We take the items directly from a working environment to our ebay store. Buyer acknowledges the fact that it is their responsibility to clean the items before use. Factors that will need to be cleaned can be but not limited to, dirt, mould, food buildup, etc. We will do our best to try and locate these issues and notify buyer of these instances but due to our limited knowledge, we can give no guarantees. Buyer also agrees to not leave feedback based on this criteria as they have been advised in these terms and conditions.
 
13. For buyers outside UK, as all of our items are now available under the Global Shipping Programme, international buyers are responsible for return postage charges. We are unable sell items with 0% vat to EU buyers. We are not able to refund buyers outside UK the VAT on the purchase price.
 
14. For orders placed outside the UK using the global shipping programme: Please ignore tracking number emailed to you initially. This tracking number is showing tracking status to the international mail centre. Customers must use global shipping programme tracking number which will be in your paypal account under the item transaction. Tracking info will be blank until the package has been received and dispatched from the uk/international mail centre. Once it is dispatched form the mail centre, you will see the tracking information.
 
15. Our listings should automatically and normally combine postage charges when available. In the event that this does not happen, please send us a message and we will gladly adjust as necessary. Buyer agrees to not leave feedback based on the postage charges and instead will contact seller to resolve any overages.
