Stuff U Sell is a Trading Assistant: we provide a service to individuals and businesses looking to sell their goods.
 
THE CONTRACT FOR SALE
The contract for sale is formed when we ship the goods (or for goods which are collected, when they are taken away after inspection by the buyer or his agent). The winning of an auction, acceptance of an eBay offer or eBay Buy It Now is, together with cleared payment within 7 days, an offer to purchase, which is accepted by our shipping or handing-over as above. Where cleared payment is not made within 7 days, any eBay auction, offer or Buy It Now may be cancelled without further obligation and unpaid item strikes issued according to eBay's rules in force at the time.
 
Where we act as an agent for the owner of the lot, the contract for sale is made of two parts. The first part is made directly with us for the postage and marketplace fees for the lot. The value of this part is determined by our rates as published on our website at the time. The second part is the consideration for the transfer of ownership of the lot which is due to the owner of the lot, and the value for this is the rest of the total payable. The specific values for these two portions of the contract will be provided on request to buyers, although as we usually act as an anonymous service, our principal may not be disclosed.
 
As is normal, the total payable shall be in all cases the amount normally shown by eBay as the total payment due - being the winning bid, accepted offer or buy it now price plus any eBay shipping charges. All payments should be made to us as specified in the listing detail. Any returns or claims for the item or shipping should be directed in all cases to us.
 
In all cases, the fact that we are acting as a selling agent does not affect your statutory rights. For the purposes of payment and any claims and refunds, buyers may treat the sale as if it were made with us.
 
VAT
In accordance with eBay's rules, what you bid is what you pay. No VAT is added or subtracted once the price is agreed. VAT is complicated: particularly in the case of second-hand goods sold through agents. The VAT status of the transaction may depend on the VAT status of both the buyer and seller (or client).
