It was open box. But apple store told me open box products must be individually tested to meet standard. Some open box products have been resold by others so apple sets a standard. They provided me with a free charger but it made no difference. I want to solve this ASAP. I'm leaving for a six week vacation in 2 weeks. I want a solution ASAP.
