The DeviceNet network is an open, low-level one that provides connections between simple industrial devices, such as sensors and actuators, and higher-level devices, such as controllers and computers. The DeviceNet network uses the proven Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) to provide the control and data collection capabilities for industrial devices. With a full range of analog, digital, diagnostic digital, motion control, and specialty I/O, the 1756 Allen Bradley ControlLogix I/O chassis based module meets all of your application requirements. Supporting a variety of voltage interface capabilities, isolated and non-isolated module types, and point-level output fault states, the Allen-Bradley PLC peripheral 1756-DNB communication module is versatile and gets the job done. Offering field-side diagnostics, and direct-connect or rack-optimized communication, this module is compatible with any of the I/O modules in the local chassis of a copyright ControlLogix controller, or across ControlNet or Ethernet networks. The Allen-Bradley 1756-DNB communication module is also compatible with DeviceNet, Data Highway Plus, SynchLink, and third-party process and device networks. The Allen-Bradley 1756-DNB communication module features a communication rate of 125 Kbps (500 m max), 250 Kbps (250 m max), and 500 Kbps (100 m max) depending on the compatible network. These communication devices feature 64 nodes for high power input and maximum optimization. This communication module features a 5-male-pin Phoenix Connector, and scanner capabilities, making it very versatile. The Allen Bradley 1756-DNB communication module features a variety of programming languages to fit all your industrial needs. These devices from DeviceNet offer programming languages that include relay ladder, structured text, function block, and a sequential function chart (SFC). The device features a two-digit LCD showing module and DeviceNet status that allows you to easily see what you are doing. This Allen Bradley unit features power dissipation from 3.7 to 5.2 watts and a thermal dissipation of 12.6 to 21.28 BTU per hour depending on the network. Additional accessories available with the Allen Bradley 1756-DNB communication module allow you to expand the connectivity and to simplify use of the device with additional parts. Additional accessories include connectivity cables, flat media wiring solutions, and round media systems. Included with the Allen Bradley 1756-DNB communication module, for use with ControlLogix controllers, is an easy to search user information manual. This manual is divided into categories so you easily search for answers for quick troubleshooting when in use.
