I used the clamcleat to make a loop in the line that is adjustable but holds firmly in place, that can have one side quickly let out or pulled in through the action of the cleat. Perfect for my application of adding a mast to boom line where none existed before without the need to rivet in a cleat on the boom itself. These aero cleats are expensive, but there is nothing else like them.
