This new series from the SAM Publications is a 'kit tie-in' directly linked to selected new releases from well-known manufacturers - the first of which will be the enigmatic BAC TSR.2, to be released in 1/48 scale by Airfix. This title traces the counter-factual history of what would possibly have occurred had TSR.2 actually entered RAF service - much more 'what-might-have-been' than 'what-if' - the book has been meticulously researched by well-respected and internationally acclaimed camouflage and markings expert, Paul Lucas, from official files and documents held by British Aerospace and in the vaults of the National Archives at Kew. The book looks at all the squadrons that were to be equipped with the type, the weapons systems that were to have been employed and the color schemes and markings the aircraft would have carried. This is a perfect companion for the 1/72 and 1/48 scale Airfix kits.
