"Trials Fusion" for the PlayStation 4 brings the Trials experience to this console for the first time and has an E rating. At first glance, "Trials Fusion" by RedLynx for the PlayStation 4 looks like your average racing game. However, it can quickly show its true nature as an entry in the platform racing genre. Every stage in the "Trials Fusion" game is full of platform racing challenges that can require you to use both speed and physics to survive. This Ubisoft Entertainment title can frequently require you to use both your brain and reflexes together to win. For example, one level could have a steep incline that features sharp ridges. Players of this Ubisoft game will need to position their bike to hop over these ridges while maintaining their momentum. One wrong move will send your rider flying and will send you on a trip back to the nearest checkpoint. Controlling your rider can be simple thanks to the graphical system the game uses. While the game looks like it is 3D, it is played on a 2D plane. In addition to accelerating and reversing, you can lean your character forward and backward. Using a combination of these four moves, you can perform advanced moves on any of the tracks. For example, leaning back and then jutting forward quickly will allow you to hop your bike in the game. While past Trials Ubisoft games took place in abandoned warehouses, Fusion takes you to other countries. You'll race on over 20 tracks across the globe, with each course offering a unique visual. For example, one course may take place high above the clouds while another takes place deep underground. Each track can present a brand new challenge. A handful of tutorials can teach you how to handle each challenge in the game before it appears. This Trials release takes full advantage of the powerful PlayStation 4 system hardware. Improved lighting effects can make elements such as fire come to life. Ubisoft and PlayStation have also worked hard to ensure that this Trials game also runs smoothly, with no lag or slowdown no matter how fast you're going. The "Trials Fusion" game has received high ratings for this fact alone. The Fusion PlayStation game has a significant amount of customization built into it. Players can choose from over five different bikes in the game, including an updated quad bike. After selecting your bike, you can use the paint tools to customize it. You can also choose the outfit your rider is wearing in the game. In addition to the usual assortment of motorcycle gear, there are comical costumes to wear in "Trials Fusion." As you play through the game, you'll unlock additional outfits and bikes. Once you've finished the main game, there are six Fusion DLC packs to choose from, such as Fault One Zero. This Ubisoft game release is about more than just racing to the finish, thanks to a handful of minigames. Each "Trials Fusion" minigame will task players with a unique objective. For example, one minigame will see how far you can drive on a single tank of gas. Both the races and the minigames upload your scores to a global leaderboard. This leaderboard also lets you download video replays of the top players so you can study their moves. "Trials Fusion" PlayStation 4 invites numerous replays as players try to climb higher on the leaderboard. The included multiplayer mode allows you to race against your friends.
