I live in Florida and the phone holders that attach to the AC vent block the air flow. Anything that uses suction cups do not stay in place in high temps. This allowed me to position the holder in the very best place, it attaches very securely to the dash, the phone stays securely in the holder no matter what, and the swivel capability allows me to aim the screen at just the right angle and never flops around.

Comes with small plates which can go inside phone case to increase strength of magnetism. If you can find a flat spot - only about 2" x 3" - somewhere good on your dash then this is a perfect phone holder.
