When I get the item it’s two pieces and there’s two little screws to hold both items together.  it would take one impact from something to snap the two components apart because the little screws that hold it together are a joke for strength. I am so disappointed in the weakness of this item that’s not even worth mounting on my bike. There’s no way this will protect your sprocket if you hit a solid object. What a joke
