Hesitant at first, Kate finally agrees since she's willing to trade a demo for the use of a private room for her mom's upcoming 60th birthday party. When the relationship begins to heat up, Kate delivers her "I don't date" speech. His laughter at her declaration shocks Kate, but she's determined to keep their growing involvement to strictly business. At least she's trying to. Although Dan wants Kate at the center of his life, will she be able to handle his hyperactive young son? His first wife left the marriage due to the boy's difficult nature.
