English summary: Museums sponsored by the state, local municipalities and churches that display objects with a religious provenance or theme are visited for a variety of different reasons. Some people go there to actively seek out the religious aspect, others more in order to gain historical or art-historical insights. Successful curatorial work takes these different approaches into consideration when presenting collections and designing educational programs such as special exhibitions or tours. Under the heading of 'Wallfahrt ins Museum?' (A Pilgrimage to the Museum?), the second Lehniner Symposium devoted to 'Religion Ausstellen' (Religion on Display), which was held in October 2010, revolved around the question of how museums present religion to their visitors. The conference examined these issues by looking at German and European museums that display themes and objects relating to different Christian denominations. The proceedings of the conference are summarized in this volume. German description: Museen in Tragerschaft von Staat, Kommunen und Kirchen mit Objekten religioser Provenienz und Thematik werden aus hochst unterschiedlichen Grunden besucht. Manche Menschen suchen dort sehr bewusst das Religiose, andere sind eher historisch oder kunsthistorisch motiviert. Eine erfolgreiche Museumsarbeit ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass diese Differenzen bewusst bei der Prasentation der Sammlungen sowie bei der Gestaltung von Bildungsangeboten wie Sonderausstellungen oder speziellen Fuhrungsangeboten berucksichtigt werden. Wie Museen Religion fur ihre Besucherinnen und Besucher aufbereiten, machte das zweite Lehniner Symposium "Religion ausstellen" im Oktober 2010 unter der Fragestellung "Wallfahrt ins Museum?" zum Thema. Es untersuchte mit Blick auf deutsche und europaische Museen, die Themen und Objekte unterschiedlicher christlicher Konfessionen zeigen, diese Zusammenhange. Die Beitrage der Tagung sind im vorliegenden Band dokumentiert.
