A Dremel tool was needed for my particular installation (GMT900 truck)as I wanted to utilize the existing 12v socket hole in the dash. Once I removed the product interfering with install with the Dremel, all was as it should be and looks very "factory". This model has a full on/off switch and works as it should with no parasitic drain on vehicle battery.
