Too small, and I'm an average sized man.
Nicely made, but so small I feel like I've wasted my time and money. Barely goes below collar bone level and barely comes up the head. Must be a huge amount of stubby necked folk giving this thing 5 stars.

Its no Dark Knight, but Tim Burton's is still art.
Recently got back into Batman after starting on Arkham Asylum again and after a friend lent me the Dark Knight. It was this film's them tune that, when it found its way to the forefront of my mind, really compelled me to seek out the 1989 edition again. Cant say I'm dissappointed, but watching for the first time since childhood was, well, not as I expected. But thats no bad thing at all! In many ways I prefer Tim Burton's vision to Nolan's Batman. Despite all the detail on Bale's Batsuit and its supposed "realism" I'd still have to say I prefer the look of Keaton's suit. Furthermore, the film's them tune really gives Batman his proper feel of dark gloriousness. While the fighting and the action aren't anything we would today consider spectacular, Tim's scenes are still no doubt a grand spectacle in comparison with the Chicago that the newer films are filmed in. Also, we our old school Batman isn't marred by that "twisted sense of self-righteousness" that Ledger's Joker mentions in The Dark Knight: this Batman seems fine with dropping bombs out of his Batmobile to take out a crowd of thugs and doesnt seem to bothered about the Joker plunging to his death. And on the topic of the Joker, well what can we say? I think its grossly unfair to compare him to Heath Ledger's Joker. This joker is more as he is in the comics and animated series. He's more of an cartoon evil clown. I would say that Jack Nicholson is also on par with Ledger in his dark humour, just different in his expounding it. Furthermore, it is no doubt unfair to compare this film to The Dark Knight, the two are just on different levels, from different times. What this Batman movie did for its time was met with much critical appraisal, being called by some the film of the year. And thats fair, even today. Burton's vision of Batman is dark yet comic, and supercedes Nolan's in one sense: Gotham is Gotham. It has that fitting feel, unlike Chicago being used for Nolan's takes. Batman is an excellent film adaptation of the comic hero, though lacking in some ways in small points in the story, for a two hour take on the caped crusader it does justice and entertains totally.

Well balanced hybrid of wrestling game and 3d beat em up, hours of fun.
This game is in a word, fantastic. Consider it a blend of 2 types of fighting game, it has the movement and motion of a wrestling game but with the fluidness and ease of combat as a 3d fighter such as virtua fighter or soul calibur. The create a fighter in story mode is very gratifying with the ability to progressively improve your fighter and blend up to 3 of 5 fighting systems (thai bo, streetfighting, wrestling, submissions and kung fu) into your own repertoire each style having its own unique ability for a fast knockout (KO an opponent in a hard clinch with muay thai or slam them in a hard grapple with wrestling. Wear them down and eventually make them submit with submission wrestling. Flip off a wall and fly kick them with kung fu or catch them while stunned with a powerful haymaker with the streetfighting style). This fight system still retains the blazing mode knockout system from the first game as well as enabling fighters to use the crowd, the environment and props such as bottles and pipes to finish off the opponent. The 'momentum' system is still there which enables a skilled fighter to defeat an opponent in as little as 15 seconds. The game is very balanced, the story is satisfying and the many multiplayer modes which allow up to 4 players to battle it out provide unending amusement (you will be laughing your ass off when you KO your friend by breaking a pool cue over his head with a vertical strike). I really have no complaints about this game, there are no glitches nor any frustration with countering or blocking an opponent. With the right timing you can get yourself out of any sticky situation. Despite the simplicity of the control system, the many ways to wear down and KO enemies are simply beautiful. Endless playtime, so much pleasure beating the hell out of the likes of Sean Paul and Fat Joe, no complaints whatsoever. Get this game.
