Where is the rest of Tolstoy's work?
OK Translation but the removal of more than half of Tolstoy's collection is a disservice to the reader not to mention Tolstoy.
Apparently the translator chose to decide which of Tolsto'ys gems were desirable to read.
Perhaps if Tolstoy had limited his collection to those in this translation the book would not have been banned by the Soviet and then the Russian governments.
For instance, on February 13 the original 1904 Russian text has 8 stanzas while the translation only has 3. (half a page vs 2 full pages.
This is not a translation so much as a sampling of or perhaps a censored version of Tolstoy's work..
