I sincerely believe if you take the time to peruse my book and meditate on the more than one hundred passages from the Bible which I draw from in this thesis, you will discover a wealth of comfort and security.In my forty-five years of ministry, I have officiated over a score of funerals. I have stood at the graveside with many families, watching them and listening to them during these sad times. I have heard the usual clichés, and at the top of the list are;"Why did God let this happen?" I hope to give you some answers to this question and much more.Is Death natural? As a preacher of the Bible, I question, "What does the Bible say?" I believe the Bible teaches there is nothing natural about Death. It is without question in my mind unnatural. I admit the obvious, Death is in this world. However, I believe there is profound scriptural evidence proving Death, is never meant for those created in the image of God. In other words, it was not a part of our God's natural order for humanity. Yes, Death happens, and Death has real cause and effect. Still, I must insist, that from a standard point of view, Death is not natural. The power of Death is spiritual. Death has a beginning. Death is our enemy, and yes, Death can be defeated.
