Nuvi 260W comes fully equipped with a host of advanced navigation features. The navigator comes with City Navigator NT, an extensive map database of popular points of interest. These POIs include restaurants, hotels, gas stations, ATMs, and more. You can also save custom maps to the unit, including directions to school zones or airport terminals. The GPS provides proximity alerts when you're approaching POIs. While driving, you’ll receive spoken announcements detailing the name of exits and streets so you’ll never miss your turn. Getting started with navigation is easy: simply type your destination into the navigator’s entry fields. You can also select a favorite location from your saved places or view your log to choose a past destination. Once you’ve chosen your POI, the 260W displays 2D or 3D maps, allowing you to clearly see the route.
