Awesome, well made authentic hat! I chose to beat it half to death by salt water soaking, sanding, sweating, scuffing and spitting on it to age it a bit and it has held up amazingly well! Did this because nobody would expect to see a colonist or pirate with a NEW hat! I can’t say enough about the quality of both the heavy leather and construction of this outstanding period perfect lid. Highly recommend if you want authenticity.
