Considering it sat around for 59 years, the paper item was in good shape, without wrinkles or worn edges. As I unfolded the map, the creases were not too weak from over-use. However, there was one noticeable blemish: a light brown swirling discoloration that occupied only a small portion of the map inside. It did not obscure the depiction of any feature on the map in the least. A coffee stain, I would guess. Overall, I'm pleased.
