If only
1 z 1 osób uznało tę recenzję za przydatną I am a big fan of Stellan Skarsgard and, just as in King Arthur, his performance stood out.
The film in general was okay although it could have been better. I was really looking forward to watching this film but felt a little bit let down at the end.
It most certainly would have been a lot better if it had been more faithful to the original story. Grendel is treated far too sympathetically in this film and his over sentimentalised story bares absolutely no resemblance to the original Saxon story.
Maybe I am being a bit too picky, but having read the original it is difficult not to be.
I am sure that if you do not know the story of Beowulf then you will probably enjoy it for what it is.
I just think that it is a real shame that no one has, as yet, managed to make a faithful version of this classic Saxon tale as it is screaming out for one to be done.
Worth a watch though all the same.
