Very nice for ft-in-frac calculations, but should retain data when off
This is a very handy construction calculator with many useful features for the trades. I have used it in the steel detailing business and have found it invaluable. The ease of data entry for 16ths of an inch makes it very efficient. The ease of calculation of circle functions is very nice. The feature I have found to be the most frustrating is the loss of data when the calculator turns off after a short time of inactivity. The memories are retained, but in-process calculations are lost. When powered back up, it would be nice if the latest in-process calculated results were brought back to the display.

A fantastic calculator for reasonable cost
For the money, this is an outstanding calculator. It is very fast and has a reasonable amount of programming capability, although programming is somewhat cumbersome. It has Algebraic, Chain, and RPN operating systems allowing users of any calculators to feel at home operating it. It has a fine complement of mathematical and statistical functions rivaling usual scientific calculators to go along with its fine financial capabilities.
