High quality street Rock 'N' Roll -keepers of the flame
Another chapter in the continuing saga of Buffalo's premier punk/ power-pop/ trash rockers Alan K and Kevin K. The sound is crunchy but melodic, with tasty guitars solos all over. Typical high-caliber songwriting within classic Rock 'N' Roll song construction. As always the main reference point will be Johnny Thunders but there's also influences of The Dolls, Replacements, Stiv Bators (especially his Bomp era solo stuff) as well as the L.A. trash rock/ glam crowd; and I wouldn't be surprised if later-day straight-out rockers like The Humpers and Streetwalkin' Cheetahs picked up on this when it came out. But surprisingly, you can hear echoes of the Beatles in many places. Basically if you just love pure Rock & Roll you won't be disappointed with this.
