This book is as uncannily genius as they get
Charlotte Bronte is an exquisite mind! It is otherworldly how deep and keen she is. This is her most famous - and with little argument, best - book. It is the ostensible autobiography of hers, yet it is made up of anywhere from, roughly estimating I would say 40-85% imagination. Her very soul is under the microscope in this book. I tell you, books like this don't come along every millennia. (However, one "came along" right alongside of it, and that was her sister's book, Wuthering Heights. It is a toss-up as to which sister's book is more genius. They have many similarities, and many differences, broadly speaking. The whole Bronte family - from the trio of sisters, to the wayward brother, to the staunch, stoic, upright father - are a marvel of Western culture.

If you like to have your heart strings tugged, I would recommend this book, for sure. even if you don't, I think you will find it an interesting, charming example of Victorian England people (especially women, of course), and for the contrast between London life and the English "country" life, it is also most fascinating - and downright valuable, in order to get the sense of the underlying forces which influence so much of English culture: their love for education, especially literature and discourse with one another; and their religion at the time, etc., etc. Anyhow, I loved the book most for the Brontes, of course. (Oh how I wish I could slip down from the train of time, look behind, and see Charlotte in the "mirror" - and we would meet in the moors stretching beside the parked train!)
