Etty Hillesum is a faithful diarist who wants to be a writer. I am so pleased her WWII era diaries were published. She undergoes an incredible spiritual transformation during the Nazi Occupation of Holland. As a result, she gains inner peace and strength. She also has incredible prescience when she writes: Of course it is our complete destruction they want! She continues: But let us bear it with grace. I think you will find that Etty succeeded in doing just that.
