I gotta say that I was a little bit eskeptic about this movie, because of the special effects and all. I know this is a live version of the anime Basilik, which in truth, both the anime and the movie, are adaptations of the novel " The Kouga Ninja Scrools" and that novel has a lot to be converted to live action. However, I think they did a good job overall, I would have liked to see more action from the main characters, Oboro (Yukie Nakama) an Gennosuke (Joe Odagiri), but I guess there is only so much they can do with such short length or time. Another thing I would've love too see is the charater Kagero, Tomoka Kurotani, doing some fighting scenes, in the anime she is this tough girl, that besides having the ability to poison, she was very strong and skillful in the area of hand combat. Overall I think is a good movie, and maybe if it was longer they could have add all this subtleties that made, in my opinion, the anime so great. If you have the chance, that is if you haven't done so already, check out the anime, as well as the novel.

Final Fantasy Unlimited
I like the fact that is final fantasy. I collect everything from games to movies that is part of the saga. It's not as good as I expected, but it does have some good elements that are worth naming like the inclusion of characters from the Final Fantasy saga, and some of the summons. It could have been better, but I still enjoy watching it. some of the bad things are storyline for example, sometimes it gets boring and nothing remarkable happens, the part that saves it is when the main character summons one of the creatures. The boss seems too childish as well as the medium bosses, they don't really have charisma, except for the main medium boss that has some sort of conection with the summoner. it's a good collection for those who follow the saga, but is not very desirable for those who enjoy good anime.
