Must have CD for at least one song: Kaw Liga!
If you'd like to have a complete "Best Of" Doc Watson compilation, you'll need this CD. Kaw Liga seems to appear only on this disc, and well worth the purchase. Other great numbers from Two Days In November are Walk On Boy (elsewhere in Doc's CDs), Kinfolks in Carolina, Doc's cover of Tom Paxton's The Last Thing On My Mind, Three Times Seven and the Snowbird. If you really want a good version of I'm Going Fishing, I'd have to advise deferring to Taj Mahal's version, and I doubt anyone does Milkcow Blues better than Leadbelly, who has the more original line in answer to the question, "Where've you been so long?" - "I've been all out in the country, with my big bell on." Also, its good to compare Blind Lemon Jefferson's Match Box Blues with Doc's version, just to see how the song has progressed. But the two recordings together on one CD is a great value, and good listening.

Classic tale of life on Capitol Hill and Washington, DC
I've been waiting for this title to come out on DVD. The background is full of actual Washington, DC scenery, for example, the apartment building just over the Bison bridge in Georgetown. I've been there myself, delivering documents to DC's workers of the government. The story is probably typical of the the way things work on Capitol Hill, including the observation that "we tolerate just about anything" up here, and the explanation of why. However, one of the most endearing aspects of this Preminger film is that it is a bookend for Charles Laughton and Franchot Tone. The two work together in Advise and Consent towards the end of their careers, just as they did in Mutiny on the Bounty, at the beginning, of at least Franchot Tone's career. Highly recommended, and take a look at the Internet Movie Database for trivia, goofs, and memorable quotes: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0055728/trivia
