As with his Sharpe series, Cornwell tells a great tale that keeps you sitting on the edge of your easy chair. This is the second book in a three-part series about the Viking invasion of England as told in the first person by someone who lives in that time and fights for King Alfred the Great, who was responsible for driving the Vikings back to Denmark. It's a good read ( there is much bloodshed and fighting- be warned) and along the way I've learned quite a bit about a part of English history that I never knew. I highly recommend!!
LIQUID RING GUARD FOR THE DO IT YOURSELFER IMPROVED

Works great, if used correctly!!
This product works as advertised, but you have to follow the directions: be sure the surface is clean and dry before applying, and don’t use a thick bead of the product, rather spread it over a larger surface area and allow to dry. It’s comfortable once in place and hardly noticeable. I do recommend using Liquid Ring Guard.

The third book in the series doesn't disappoint
The third book in a three part series by Cornwell, it doesn't disappoint. If you've read the first two, then this one is a "must". The series is about the Viking invasion of England as told in the first person by an Englishman who lived in that time and who, although raised by the Vikings whom he grows to love and respect, fights for King Alfred, who is credited with driving the Vikings out of England. I thoroughly enjoyed all three books and if you are a Cornwell fan you'll like the change in venue from the Richard Sharpe books.
